Preventive maintenance

Oil, filters, grease and a walkaround, done where the machine sits. The machine does not have to be hauled to a shop.

What a service visit covers

Engine oil, filters and grease. Fluid samples when they are requested. A walkaround that notes hoses, leaks, track condition, belts, and coolers packed with debris.

Findings are reviewed before any further work. Have the make, model, hours and a photo of the serial plate ready.

Before the busy season

Farm equipment in spring, ahead of seeding and haying. Logging equipment after breakup, once the roads are open. Snow equipment in the fall, before the first hard cold.

The schedule fills once haying starts or the logging shows open. A pre-season look at tractors and balers is on the farm equipment page.

Scheduled visits for small fleets

A yard with several machines can be put on a repeating visit. The same mechanic attends each time, so the notes from the last visit carry forward.

Access details belong with the booking: gate code, yard entrance, or a km marker on a logging road.

Between services

  • Daily grease, and a walkaround before the machine starts.
  • A look at the hoses, and a check of fluid levels.
  • Clean coolers. They pack quickly in the bush and in hay.
  • Write down anything new, including warning messages, for the next visit.

A hose that is already wet is a hydraulic leak, not a wait-until-service item. The rate and travel are confirmed before the trip.

DEF goes in its own tank, from a sealed container, and never into the diesel. Fluid left in a hot cab, or frozen and thawed, can set a quality warning with the tank still full. What those warnings mean is on the DEF, DPF and SCR page. A dosing test or a forced regeneration needs the manufacturer's software, and that is not part of a service visit.

Questions

Do you come to the machine?

Yes. Service is mobile: job sites, farms, logging roads and yards.

Who does the work?

One mechanic and one truck. The person who takes the call is the person who does the work.

What areas do you cover?

Vernon, Salmon Arm, Armstrong, Enderby, Falkland, Lumby, Chase and Kamloops. A longer drive is confirmed before the trip.

What equipment do you work on?

Excavators, skid steers, loaders, dozers, tractors and service trucks. Have the make and model ready when booking.

Can parts be brought to the job?

Common items such as hoses, fittings and filters are usually on the truck. Send the make, model and serial so parts can be checked before the visit.

How do I book?

Call +1 (250) 999-7613, or send the form for a callback.

Is it holding up work right now?

If a machine is down now, a phone call is faster: +1 (250) 999-7613. Details are used only to book the visit.
